Service Projects

The men are called on an “as-needed” basis for service projects, both within the church body and in the community. One project we take on is at Ridge Haven Camp & Conference Center in Brevard, NC. Twice a year, the men of WRPC venture up to this PCA Camp to assist in construction, repair, and maintenance of the facilities and grounds. All costs are covered by the camp and the work provides a wonderful opportunity to serve the PCA as well as to build lifelong friendships among the men of WRPC. Other projects consist of cleaning up yards for widows/widowers and helping those within the church who have specific needs.

Mission Trips

Occasionally, the men participate in a short-term mission trip to one of our missionaries to support in teaching or diaconal ministry. In the past, we have traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to assist with tornado aftermath, to Clinton, South Carolina to help with a housing project, and we continue to help our brothers at Ridge Haven - the PCA camp - with various projects.

Camping

Each year, WRPC has a family campout. Traditionally, this has been a one night trip to a nearby state park or campground and is always well attended. Although the camping style differs among those who attend (RV’s campers, tents), a great time is had by all and wonderful memories are made. This trip is always a favorite of the kids. Dates and times are announced well in advance and the turnout is always great.
