Scott & Faith Sheffer

Scott Sheffer and his family have been ministering to the people in Uganda, Africa, particularly the Garuga community since 2006. Originally, he brought a diaconate ministry to help with the building projects for the African Bible College. Currently, he is involved with the Vocational Training Institute/Open Hands Ministry, which reaches the people with the Gospel as he uses his nearly thirty years of building to teach vocational skills to the men of the community. Since the men have been involved in various building projects, Scott’s diaconal ministry has been a valuable outreach for the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Uganda. In addition to teaching vocational skills, Scott has been teaching the diaconate, assisting with church planting efforts, and being involved in a medical ministry after receiving a large quantity of medical supplies. The most recent church planting endeavor has been in Lubugumu, an area dominated by Muslim extremists.
